Mass Psychosis
The lockdown lobby desperately wants you to forget the pandemic response. We won’t.
Of all the horrors of war, opportunity cost (i.e., what we could have been doing otherwise) may be down the list. But while we’re busy trying to return the Strait of Hormuz to, well…what it was before the conflict with Iran started, lots of domestic priorities—and liberties—are falling by the wayside.
For example, remember when Donald Trump repeatedly called out the deep-state’s warrantless spying under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act or FISA? No? Well, you might be forgiven now that the President has called for a clean reauthorization of FISA’s Section 702 set for this month.1
A shocking reversal considering that he was the most high-profile target of the program’s abuses in the secret coup known as Russiagate. But perhaps MAGA-land is getting used to shocking reversals.
Besides, so what if we’re doing a few searches on Americans ‘incidentally captured’ with eavesdropping abroad? The armchair warriors at the Wall Street Journal assure us that new ‘safeguards’ mean the FBI moles must get a supervisor’s approval before they “query the database” of U.S. citizens.2
Oh good, for a minute there I was worried.
Come to think of it, now I’m not quite sure why I voted against FISA’s reauthorization when I was in Congress.3
It’s not the unchecked zeal to protect ‘national security,’ however, that has a monopoly on the destruction of civil liberties—it’s fear.
The same federal government that was spying on Americans would go on to remove their medical freedom and lock them down during COVID. The Biden administration went so far as to declare a national vaccine mandate for 80 million private employees.4
Which is why we must continue to heed the lessons of what can only be described as an un-American trial run of martial law—punctuated by hysteria and a disturbing willingness of the masses to go along with the lies.
Of course, the Orwellian architects of the pandemic-era disgrace are counting on short memories. But we forget the actual threats to liberty at our own peril.
I’ve tried to do my part here at Jason’s Newsletter—as well as in my book Party Animal, The Truth About President Trump, Power Politics & the Partisan Press, where I described in detail the dystopia:
Worse, college students were turned into vaccine guinea pigs over the risk of a virus whose morbidity was close to zero. The silly quarantining of young people yearning for social interaction was not only disobeyed, but led to the now infamous game-day chant of ‘Let’s go, Brandon.’ Except they weren’t saying ‘Let’s go, Brandon.’
That was the lighter side, but the reality was much darker. From Harvard to Cambridge, studies showed a precipitous decline in the mental health of our youth, brought about by their own government—from spikes in eating disorders to suicide ideation. Yet public health authorities continued to downplay documented research on the harm that the lockdowns were having on kids.
Imagine taking someone mired in loneliness and telling them to isolate in their rooms, left to the poison of social media algorithms so often used to traumatize young adults. Children’s Hospital, rarely missing a chance to jump on a profitable trend, saw one and decided to convert its pediatric ICU beds in St. Paul to inpatient mental health admissions. They may wind up converting them back, as shelter-in-place rules dramatically increased non-Covid mortality worldwide, according to a National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) study.
The lockdown lobby deliberately abandoned an entire generation for political gain. Who does this? How many formative years in high school and college were now forever gone? How many futures destroyed, how many dreams dashed? What these public health bureaucrats, politicians and media did to kids wasn’t a public policy mistake—it was a scandal.
God may forgive the ‘grown-ups’ who did this, but the rest of us won’t.
But I don’t believe that’s enough.
And I don’t think just another op-ed or documentary of depredations is either. We need something different. Something unique that describes the distrust, paranoia and desperation brought about by the COVID-enforcers.
So last week we announced the start of a crowdfunding campaign for our new feature film, appropriately titled State Of Deception—a suspenseful period piece of historical fiction that will engage a wider audience while opening its eyes.
After all, if politics is downstream of culture, it’s time we start changing both with a movie that keeps delivering the truth in an impactful and captivating way every time someone sees it.
That’s why we’re taking the first bold step with State Of Deception and, as with all real change, we need your help to make it happen.
Claude AI called our script for State Of Deception “a well-crafted political thriller, that explores themes of corruption, power, and the pursuit of truth.”5 And as we told you, our friend General Mike Flynn agrees.
The uniparty wants you focused on the kind of external threats they get to define while it was their own complicity that did something Iran could never do during a pandemic that suspiciously coincided with paid protests and riots. From mask mandates to lockdowns; snitch lines to warrantless wiretaps. That’s what they want you to forget.
Help us make certain they don’t.
