“The central premise of the Biden campaign is that President Donald Trump is an authoritarian fascist who must be stopped at all costs. That rhetoric led directly to President Trump’s assassination attempt.” — Sen. J.D. Vance on X.
The media attempt at moral symmetry in the aftermath of the Trump assassination attempt is so laughably predictable it almost warrants no mention.
Then again, neither did Russian collusion.
‘Eliminating,’ Donald Trump, in the words of New York Congressman Daniel Goldman, had long become a dangerous obsession for a Democrat/Media complex intent on jailing their political enemies.1 But all of that changed Saturday last when a would-be presidential assassin took the life of a heroic rally attendee who covered his family first.
The constant demonization of MAGA Republicans has had a numbing effect on the most unstable of individuals ever since Trump came down the escalator. Rioters disguised as ‘protesters’ by the press set fire to Washington during the Trump’s inaugural. I know, I was there as a freshman member of Congress.
And the worst offenders who did the most to incite the dangerous animus towards the former President know it. Which is why, even in face of tragedy, they continued to spew partisan lies rather than admit what their irresponsible rhetoric has wrought.
First, they refused to acknowledge what everyone saw. As usual, CNN did its best to distort reality by rushing to post a headline that read "Secret Service rushes Trump off stage after he falls at rally."2 Even as late as Sunday morning, the gaslighting continued.
Once the truth could no longer be denied, NBC’s Jen Saki warned Republicans about changing their ‘tone’ while ABC’s Martha Raddatz and George Stephanopoulos dabbled in a little victim-shaming—blaming Trump for getting shot.3
The talking points were out and like covering for Biden’s frailties, everyone knew what to say. “This is no time to assign blame..” and “No one should be politicizing this..” dominated the airwaves, despite that’s exactly what the Democrat/Media complex has done for decades.
No, for this attack—unlike every other mass shooting the radical left has politicized—‘thoughts & prayers’ would just have to do.
