'Crisis of Faith...'
No...not of religion, but of a wayward medical establishment.
Of all the horrors of the COVID crises, none will be as long lasting and deleterious to the public health than the medical mistrust the response to the pandemic generated.
Not only the dissembling by Fauci-like bureaucrats over the obvious origins of the China-virus or lockdowns of youngsters who are still paying the price, but an entire medical establishment that stood by as its peers in power got SARS-CoV-2 treatment protocols so wrong.1
Its no irony that the sheep-like group think on mandatory masking and universal vaccinations (especially for the least vulnerable) has now resulted in a healthy skepticism towards both.2 As well it should.
There are now published studies showing “excess deaths, cardiac events, strokes, and other SAEs [serious adverse events] have often been wrongly ascribed to COVID-19 rather than to the COVID-19 mRNA vaccinations” themselves.3
Indeed, the knee-jerk refusal to even consider ‘off-label’ drugs like hydroxychloroquine or ivermectin as reasonable alternatives to experimental vaccination did far more for ‘second opinions’ than it did for Big Pharma.4
Consequently, markets for masks and jabs, whose manufacturers enjoyed an unwarranted government-induced windfall during the pandemic, have quickly collapsed.5 And so has the trust in our institutions.
