A renegade Governor justifies defiance because he and his comrades are “at war with the federal government..”
Desperate to deflect attention from what could be the tip of the largest government fraud in American history, Democrats have once again circled the wagons around criminals, rioting, violence—and now insurrection.
Not that they don’t have reason to be worried. The “staggering, industrial-scale fraud” in Minnesota alone may total $9 billion, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office.1
The investigation has expanded into autism care, nutrition programs, Medicaid and health care fraud from the mere $100 million in improper payments for daycare centers that I noted as a member of Congress back in 2018.2 Homeland Security says the TSA flagged nearly $700 million in cash from Somali couriers carried in luggage leaving the MSP airport in just the last 2 years.3
So to recap, Somali immigrants were engaged in an epic grift whose massive proceeds were being sent overseas. But Minnesota Governor Tim Walz just can’t, ‘for the life of me,’ see why the Immigration & Customs Enforcement should be sent to the state he’s set on fire.
In fact, harkening back to his COVID playbook, he now wants snitches to go after ICE officials for “future prosecution.”4 What…once he becomes President?
Two ICE officers, that we know of, have already been attacked with a car and a shovel.5 One incident resulted in the unfortunate death of anti-ICE activist Renee Good, who garnered more media sympathy in an hour than Ashli Babbitt has in five years.
She and her ‘wife,’ apparent newcomers to Minnesota, have been so deified by local media that the federal officer (who was previously dragged by a vehicle-turned weapon) has had to go in hiding.6
But that’s not why Walz mobilized his state’s National Guard on Saturday last.7 The Antifa Governor wasn’t concerned with anarchist mobs targeting Christian churches because of their white congregation—a blatant violation of civil rights under the 1st and 14th Amendments.8 No, it was because, heretofore, “we have never been at war with the federal government.”9
