Contrast outgoing ‘preemptive’ pardons with a festive and triumphant inaugural. Then throw in a couple hundred executive orders reversing in toto the most radical of the previous administration and, why…it’s almost morning in America again.
Yes, despite years of political falsehoods emanating from the likes of Lincoln Project perverts, two failed impeachments, a Potemkin congressional committee, partisan federal indictments and a faux felony conviction, there was Donald J. Trump taking the oath once again
And in a stark reversal from Trump’s first inaugural, a ‘resistance’ that took to the streets of DC to break laws and burn buildings in 2017 (I know, I was there) fizzled right along with legacy media’s viewers.
My how the tide has turned.
So much so that the main obsession of a spent octogenarian departing the White House was the demise of his favorite ‘fact-checkers,’ heretofore used to censor the opposition.1 In fact, an entire Democrat-media complex is terrified now that Elon Musk—and even Mark Zuckerberg (seeing the writing in the wall)—are ‘fact-checking’ them.2
Considering The Washington Post claimed Trump made some 30,000 false or misleading claims during his first term while counting only 78 for President Biden in his first 100 days, they’ve got reason to worry about the absence of the speech police.3
Yet there was Post owner Jeff Bezos at 47’s inauguration not long after declaring in his own paper that ‘Americans don’t trust the news media.’4 And in another reversal from Trump’s first inaugural, every other tech mogul was there as well, from Google to Amazon to Apple.
