Just about four years ago this week I made one of my final pitches for statewide office in Minnesota.
As the GOP nominee against incumbent Senator Tina Smith (D-Planned Parenthood), I laid out the issues of the day and noted what the ramifications would be if the state and country did not choose the right path.1
That was 2020 and now it’s 2024 and almost everything I was cautioning voters about has indeed come to pass.
Most of the time, it’s nice to be right. But not always. In fact, I take no great pride in this rather prescient warning because places like Minnesota are now on the verge of being lost.
As the saying goes, ‘of all sad words of tongue of pen, the saddest are what might have been.’
The danger today, however, is nationwide. Of course, had we made the right choices then, our current situation wouldn’t be so dire. But dire it is and our backs are against the wall.
While legacy media endlessly worries about ‘foreign influence’ tens of thousands miles away on next month’s election, the fact that millions of illegal immigrants have already flooded crucial swing states under Biden-Harris goes unreported.2
As does the fact that federal registration to vote doesn’t require documentation to show proof of citizenship.3
Minnesota is a microcosm and if you’d like the whole story on what’s in store under a Vice President Tim Walz, be sure to grab a copy of Party Animal, The Truth About President Trump, Power Politics & the Partisan Press. As I wrote there, Walz, Amy Klobuchar and Smith, are planning on doing to the country what they’ve done to the Northstar State:
About the only thing worse is federalizing election law. Smith’s court-packing legislation was meant to intimidate judges who may rule on Klobuchar’s Freedom to Vote Act, among other cases. She dodged her intentions in our Senate debate, assuring voters, “I am just not going to go there.” But Smith’s scheme to expand the Court until it rules the way she wants should be seen for what it is: an attack on the only thing that stands between you and tyranny—the Constitution of the United States.
Sure enough, after hunkering down and lying her way through the 2020 campaign (sound familiar?), Smith became the first cosponsor of Sen. Ed Markey’s radical bill to ‘expand’ the high court in 2021.4
Indeed, if Walz assumes power in Washington, along side Senators Klobuchar and Smith, the next ‘public health emergency’ lockdown will make COVID look like kids play.
Medical freedom will all but end—except for children who want sex-change operations against their parents’ wishes.
Democrats will kill the filibuster, pack the Court, crush dissent and continue to try to jail their opponents. Just what they were doing four years ago.
I told ‘ya so.
